The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute spring 2016 exhibition will be Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, on view from May 5 through August 14 (preceded on May 2 by The Costume Institute Benefit).

A New Look at a Van Eyck Masterpiece, a focus exhibition opening at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on January 25, 2016, will present the findings of a recent study of Jan van Eyck’s Crucifixion and Last Judgment paintings (ca. 1440–41).
The only complete set of these luxury cards—The Cloisters Playing Cards, from the southern Netherlands—and representative examples from the other two decks will be featured in the exhibition The World in Play: Luxury Cards, 1430–1540, opening January 20 at The Cloisters.
Exhibitions on View include Masterworks from Ancient Egypt and Kongo, Architectural Models from the Ancient Americas, and a Focus on Style Icon Jacqueline de Ribes.
