Thomas P. Campbell, Director and CEO of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, announced today that a record 6.3 million people—from the five boroughs of New York City, the local tri-state area, across the United States, and around the world—visited the Museum during the fiscal year that ended on June 30 (FY15).

Opening on June 20, an exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Royal Hunt: Courtly Pursuits in Indian Art, will showcase some 30 paintings dating from the late 16th to the early 20th century along with an array of fine Indian weapons used in the hunt, such as swords, lances, punch daggers, and matchlock guns.
