The Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia will open its Moscow liaison office in January 2017

After four successful years of the «Swiss Made in Russia» programme, the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia will open its Moscow liaison office in January 2017. The liaison office in Moscow will be the latest addition to a network that comprises further of liaison offices in Cairo, Shanghai, New Delhi and Johannesburg.  

Taking into account the realization of more than a thousand projects in 70 cities, the development of strong ties between Russian and Swiss institutions and promising potential for cooperation during the Swiss Made in Russia programme, Pro Helvetia decided to further support interaction between the two countries.

Pro Helvetia Moscow will enhance existing partnerships and inspire new ones. The office supports programmes in the field of visual arts, contemporary theatre and dance, literature and music, and the development of an artists in residence programme.  

The Moscow liaison office will be headed by Anna Arutyunova. Since 2007, Anna has been working in the field of contemporary arts in Russia, Italy and UAE as a researcher, art journalist, educator and curator. The Moscow team consists of Deputy Head Evgeniya Diamantidi, Programme Manager Maria Karmanovskaya and Communications Officer Anastasia Makarenko. 

«myprohelvetia»

In October 2016, Pro Helvetia's online grant application system «myprohelvetia» was launched for Russia. Russian and Swiss art organizations, artists, curators and managers working in the field of contemporary arts and culture can submit their proposals via the website:https://www.myprohelvetia.ch.

Pro Helvetia accepts project applications in the field of contemporary arts that have financial support from Russian partners, deal with issues of high relevance for cultural contexts in both countries, and are available for a broad audience.
