Leaders & Dreamers: Women's History Festival with Vashti Harrison

Join the Portrait Gallery and celebrated author and illustrator Vashti Harrison to recognize bold women in history. Enjoy artist workshops, tours, and activities for all ages highlighting remarkable stories of women in the museum's collection. Visitors will also experience a live performance of empowering women’s anthems from SongRise, a D.C.-based women’s choir.

Story time at Explore! immerses you in tales of artists, presidents, inventors, athletes, and more! Before or after story time, enjoy our family space, where you can play while learning about portraiture.

Where is Explore! you ask? Enter through the F Street entrance and take a right. At the end of the hallway take another right and the Explore! space will be on your left. Located across from the Education Center, E151.
