Online Exhibition: Four Sculptures

Erskine, Hall & Coe are delighted to present an online exhibition of four sculptures by Gordon Baldwin. 

Baldwin (b. 1932) is an important British sculptor and ceramicist who has been active since the 1950s. 

These four works were made between the late 1970s and the 1990s.  Although they were created at different times throughout Baldwin's career, visually they are quite harmonic.  He often revisited central concepts or themes in his work, once writing

"The events that happen in the studio seem very distant at times. I coax and allow them to develop. There may be disappointments. I get very anxious. The best ones for me spread out from themselves."
