French glass artist Maurice Marinot (1882 - 1960) paved the way for many contemporary glassmakers and Maurice Marinot. The Glass, 1911-1934 is the first international exhibition to pay tribute to his numerous experiments with forms and techniques.

Featuring more than 200 works in glass, along with many preparatory drawings, on loan from international museums, this exhibition highlights how Marinot was able to shape the fluidity of this medium when hot to create a strong tactile, vivid sensuality. Simple shapes, smooth surfaces, deep incisions, strong acid corrosion and suspended bubbles whilst decorative enameled motifs were at the core of his art practice.

Maurice Marinot. The Glass, 1911-1934 is curated by Jean-Luc Olivié, Musée des arts décoratifs, Paris, and Cristina Beltrami
