During its temporary closure, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao has launched #GuggenheimBilbaoLive. This digital initiative offers new audiovisual content about the museum and its exhibitions on its website and social media.

#GuggenheimBilbaoLive is disseminating numerous videos produced in the past few days featuring its director, curators and members of its conservation, exhibition design and education departments.

In the videos, experts talk about their personal views on works of art, their hands-on experience and favorite works from the collection. They also share anecdotes and trivia relating to some of the shows.

Videos in the section “Exhibitions and Collection” look at how Olafur Eliasson's work encourages reflection on how we perceive the world around us.

The section “Challenging Installations” explains how Richard Serra’s colossal sculptures were shipped and installed and how long it took to organize Richard Artschwager's exhibition.

Meanwhile, videos in the section “Museum and Families with BBK” aim to stimulate children's creativity and interest in art. For instance, why did Louise Bourgeois title her large-scale spider sculpture 'Maman'?
