Back in the early nineties, when Daniel Graves decided to form a school for figurative realism, he became one of the few artists reviving a movement.

The Florence Academy of Art has produced many wonderful painters and sculptors, and teachers, and has fostered dozens of ateliers and academies, becoming a major force for continuity. But how do we assure we all thrive?

At the FAA, we feel the urgency to be in front of another movement - for our graduates - to find a way to deepen the understanding of the artists's processes and shape the figurative art market. For this reason, we turned to Patreon to set up a new online ecosystem called "The Florence Academy of Art Collective."

The Collective's Goals

We will not be producing tutorials. Our videos will talk about our professional artists and take a deep dive into the lives, philosophies and practices through high quality video content, photographs, podcasts, written texts and behind the scenes photography. At the same time we will fund scholarships, artist residencies, and more.

For a very small amount per month, you get behind the scenes of The Florence Academy of Art, interact with the artists of The FAA Collective, and see their work in creation. Your support will help our community thrive.
