Dear Friends,
As soon as a chilly November rolled in, the Museum activities all moved indoors, creating what is being called the “lecture boom” at Garage. Taking place several times a day throughout the Museum as well as in the Education Center and Library, these various seminars, reading groups, artist talks, kids and adults workshops, guided tours, film screenings, and round tables on a range of topics have been developed to discuss the most pressing issues of today and share knowledge and ideas between invited experts and participants. If you happen to be in Moscow this month, mark your calendars with events that are of interest to you.
In other news, this winter brings a new iteration of the Art Experiment project, which this year will focus on exploring questions of ecology and future survival by partnering with not only artists, but also scientists, biohackers, and engineers from around the world. And while we are on cross-disciplinary activities, November also saw Garage launch an open call for applications for the second Art and Technology grant, which supports emerging artists and artist groups working with information and engineering technologies, as well as in the field of art & science. The deadline is January 11, and Russian only artists under the age of 35 can apply, so spread the word!

All the best,
