The eleventh Sommerakademie in Zentrum Paul Klee was guest at the Kunsthalle Bern and this year`s turnout was a great success. For the first time the entire Academy Programme was free and open to the public and encouraged intense participation and discussion. Guest Curator Thomas Hirschhorn and the twelve Fellows from ten countries enriched the Academy by their diversity and different cultural backgrounds. They made the ten days an unforgettable experience.

We would especially like to highlight the Opening Ceremony at the Zentrum Paul Klee, the two-hours-presentations by Fellows 2016 at the Kunsthalle Bern and the daily Lectures by three international Speakers. In addition the Academy visited six Bernese art institutions.
