Tom Sachs (1966) is one of today’s most renowned American contemporary artists and is widely known for his re-imaginations of Modern icons, and his large-scale immersive installations.

Space Program: Rare Earths, which Sachs has been planning for the Deichtorhallen in Hamburg, is the continuation of his spectacularly staged journeys to the Moon, Mars, and Jupiter’s icy moon of Europa.

For this expansive exhibition, Sachs will embark on an entirely new mission, transforming the hall into an interactive space landscape with multiple installations that will cover some 3,000 square meters.
