As part of its "Finance for Fine Arts" program, Borsa Italiana is presenting Spatialism: Lucio Fontana's textile experiences, an exhibition of extremely rare and often forgotten furnishing fabrics designed by Lucio Fontana.

Designed by Francesca Pini and curated by Daniela Degl'Innocenti, Curator of the Prato Textile Museum, the exhibition gathers stunning artefacts designed by Fontana for the prestigious Manifattura JSA di Busto Arsizio.

Among the pieces on display are Concetto Spaziale, a silk-screen printed Dubarry cotton created in 1954 for Gio Ponti's Distex armchair which appeared on the on the cover of Domus n. 302 in January 1955. Alongside his fabrics, there are also two original designs by Fontana for the backrest and seat of the P40 armchair designed by architect Osvaldo Borsani.
