From 1 to 3 August, as part of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Switzerland, Muscovites and visitors are invited to mark an important date for every Swiss – the Swiss National holiday. These days, Bauman Moscow Garden will turn into a true Swiss canton, calling everyone to share the joy of the holiday in a warm circle of friends.

On this special day, Switzerland commemorates its foundation that took place more than 700 years ago. The date roots back to the historic alliance concluded in 1291 by the three cantons of Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden, and later became the foundation day of Switzerland. Swiss National Day is widely celebrated in every village and town. Solemn, yet very touching, it became one of the symbols of the national unity.

It's the first time such a celebration will take place in Moscow. The organizers promise to make it unforgettable. They will create a warm and friendly atmosphere in the park, bringing the typical elements of the holiday such as folk music and traditional food, spectacular theater performances and a special decoration of the territory.

Various events will take place every evening from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. and include an extensive cultural program.
On a daily basis, visitors of the holiday will be entertained by the famous Swiss artists of Dimitri Theatre School who will show their colorful performances with elements of acrobatics and clowning. In addition, there will be presented musical pieces as well. Among the participants are: the famous Arkady Shilkloper playing the Alpine horn, and the Russian audience favorite Swiss violinist Vincent Milioud, who will perform together with the Moscow jazz band Djangoband.

Visitors can taste and enjoy traditional Swiss food, including the legendary chocolate from Lindt Maître Chocolatier, which is world famous for its excellent products and more than with more than a sesquicentennial history. Moreover, they will be able to enjoy the amazing landscapes of the Alpine country, visiting the colorful photo exhibition " Switzerland's Panoramas", organized by SWITZERLAND TOURISM. Those who want to try their own hand can participate in a photo contest of SWISS, the national carrier of Switzerland. The winners of the contest will get two roundtrip tickets to Switzerland. Guests will have a unique opportunity to try their luck in another contest by Swiss Health, representing the leading health resorts of Switzerland; the main prizes will be a first-class examination in the modern clinics Grand Resort Bad Ragaz and Clinic Lémanic. Also, the world famous Swissminiatur Family Theme Park, where you can see whole Switzerland in just one hour, will prepare a pleasant surprise for our guests - and only for three August nights, will bring to Russia a few gems of its collection, which are sure to surprise and impress all!

Everyone who decided to get acquainted with the culture of this amazing country is welcome to "Swiss evenings"! The organizers will do their best to make the event fun and interesting for each and everyone!
